Just before entering college, young skateboarder Eric decides to take a road trip from Chicago to California with his friends Dustin and Matt. Despite their underdog status, they intend to make it big in the world of skateboarding in the wake of legendary touring skater Jimmy Wilson. They pull tricks and tear it up in their wild attempts to get noticed and grab a sponsor. They end up needing to recruit a fourth team member named Sweet Lou.
